Looking for an Excellent Developer

mTuitive is the leading synoptic reporting company in healthcare. Physicians use our products every day to document pathology diagnoses and surgical procedures, and to track quality in the laboratory. We are shaking up the traditional documentation process and rewarding physicians with intelligent reminders, calculations, and unprecedented ease of use - helping them provide better care and maximize reimbursement.

You will create innovative software products for physicians and other medical professionals. Ideally, you have experience shipping web-based products and are as comfortable coding javascript applications as you are querying a database. You like to work with end users closely to understand their needs, and can support the products you build. You have strong writing skills, so we can trust you to write documentation, email customers, and clearly communicate with other members of the team.

Ideally already up to speed on:
  • ASP.NET MVC
  • SQL Server
  • HTML/CSS
  • Javascript application development
  • iOS, Android, or HTML5 Mobile development
  • Web Services (JSON or XML)

* We are more interested in the experience and skills below than any particular technology. We want someone who likes to learn new technologies anyway. Consideration is also given to younger applicants who may make up for work experience with open source projects, school projects, hackathon submissions, etc. *

    Experience:
  • Shipping real web-based (or mobile/cloud-backed) products in short, rapid iterations to end users
  • Operational ownership of products after shipping (systems admin, customer support, etc.)
  • Worked closely with subject matter experts in challenging domains - medicine/healthcare is a plus
    Essential Skills:
  • Excellent writer
  • Full-stack developer who is equally comfortable with front-end or back-end coding
  • Pragmatic and user-centered approach to building software - no "architecture astronauts"
  • Knows multiple programming languages and is comfortable switching
  • Knows multiple frameworks/APIs (.NET, Cocoa, Rails, React, etc) and is comfortable switching
    Bonus:
  • Integration experience with HL7, FHIR, or CDA
  • Medical experience or knowledge
  • Open source contributions
  • UI Design skills
  • Skills and accomplishments outside of software (eg: craftsmanship, sports, work in other industries, public service, etc.)
If you have them, we'd love to see in advance:
  • writing samples (blog, docs, New Yorker cartoon captions, whatever you have)
  • links to sites/apps you have built
  • open source projects

Creative applications are welcomed.
