Boston, MA - mTuitive congratulates three of its customers for winning ImagineNation Outcomes Challenge's Momentum Awards. It was just announced that Rouge Valley Health System, North York General Hospital, Sunnybrook Health Science Centre took First, Second and Third place (respectively) and were awarded a total of $60,000. The Momentum Awards are "given to teams who had the greatest increase in users of their innovative health IT solutions between January 1 and October 31, 2012." In the field of Clinical Synoptic Reporting, each of the facilities were able to demonstrate that more people were creating synoptic pathology reports using mTuitive's xPert for Pathology product.
The ImagineNation Outcomes Challenge aims to "accelerate the use and spread of innovative solutions in health care information and communication technologies...with the potential to improve health care quality and the patient experience in Canada." Health providers are encouraged to sign up for the outcomes challenge by filling out a short application and submitting a brief video detailing the method used to conform to synoptic reporting standards.
Rouge Valley Health System won first place and was awarded $30,000 for their efforts in using synoptic reporting. Rouge Valley's Laboratory Applications Analyst, Sabir Kazmi, said that:
We are very proud of our pathologists and staff who have been using the mTuitive synoptic reporting tool to produce their reports. Our thanks to the mTuitive team not only for their synoptic reporting tool that is easy to use but also for their prompt support to resolve all issues that have arisen.
