Boston, MA - mTuitive, the leading provider for synoptic reporting solutions, announced an addition to its Board of Directors - John Gomez. A highly respected visionary in the health information technology industry, Mr. Gomez brings his extensive experience in technology strategy, e-commerce, development and architecture to mTuitive's board. Mr. Gomez worked on the pre-releases of .NET and is still a highly in-demand lecturer and author on .NET and advanced technology today. HISTalk once referred to Mr. Gomez as the "Steve Jobs of healthcare IT – the industry’s leader, visionary, and celebrity" because Mr. Gomez's projects "thrived", "customers follow" his moves and "employees get [his] message."

Mr. Gomez's previous positions include the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Strategy Officer of Eclipsys; Senior Vice President and CTO of WebMD; CTO/Senior Vice President of Strategic Business Development at Brill Media Holdings in New York; Managing Consultant at Microsoft Corporation, where he was the Lead Program Manager and Architect for the MicroWarehouse e-Commerce System; Chief Architect for HRBlock Advanced Technology; and President/CEO and CTO of KYMA Technologies, Inc.

"To have someone like John on our board is a tremendous achievement," said John Murphy, CEO and Founder of mTuitive. "Not only does Mr. Gomez bring his many years of experience to our board, he also brings his unique and prescient vision to mTuitive and all of its products. There are few people with the prolific acumen of John that not only anticipate the future of health IT but can also execute that vision. We're very excited to have someone with his background and talent joining us as we continue to expand and improve upon our products."

For his part, Mr. Gomez is excited to be involved with the synoptic reporting company. "mTuitive was founded on principles that I think are more relevant to healthcare now than in years past. Simplifying workflow, lessening expenses and improving data capture will only increase in importance as more standards are published and more facilities adopt electronic solutions. I'm hopeful that this venture will result in a further revolution of medical reporting - moving from the antiquated systems of years past, to the present of synoptic reporting and into a future that relies on more intelligent data capture and evidence-based medicine."

Mr. Gomez is the second new addition to mTuitive's board. Earlier it was announced that healthcare data expert Katherine Rowell had also joined the board of directors.
